Mahindra Marazzo Bs6 Compliant Engine To Be Launched Soon
Mahindra & Mahindra has launched its first ever BS6 compliant car in India and it hit the market approximately 4 months before the BS6 norms kick in. The subcompact SUV – XUV300 is the first BS6 car from the company. It is offered on all its 1.2 litre turbo petrol offerings. The price of Mahindra XUV300 W4 BS6 starts from Rs 8.30 lakh, goes up to Rs 11.84 lakh (ex-showroom India). The price of BS6 compliant XUV 500 is hiked by Rs. 20,000 when it compared to the BS4 version, which was priced at ₹ 8.10 lakh to ₹ 11.79 lakh. Well, now the Mahindra is planning to launch the Mahindra Marazzo with BS6 compliant engine in petrol version in coming months. It will be the first model which comes equipped with Mahindra’s all-new 163hp, with 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine. The same engine will be powered by Mahindra and Ford’s midsize SUVs.
The Mahindra Marazzo line-up is all set to grow with the arrival of a petrol-powered version in the coming months – the Marazzo BS6 diesel will arrive before this, featuring a rejigged variant line-up. The Marazzo petrol will be powered by 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine from Mahindra’s new mStallion engine line-up. Displayed at Auto Expo 2020, the new mStallion motors containing turbocharged, direct injection petrol engines consists integrated exhaust manifolds, 250 bar fuel-injection rail systems, off-set crankshafts, and dual-mass flywheels.
The 1.5-litre TGDI (turbocharged gasoline direct injection) engine line up for the Marazzo petrol produces remarkable 163hp and 280Nm of torque. From April 2020, the Mahindra XUV300 will be available with the G15 engine with a four-cylinder version of the 130hp, and 1.2-litre three-cylinder G12 unit. A 6-speed manual gearbox will come as standard and it will feature an Aisin-sourced 6-speed automatic as well.
The appeal of the pertrol version of Marazzo would help in increasing sales and also it is most likely to impact the sales of Mahindra. Though the Marazzo will be the first ever model to boast the G15 engine, there something more big will arrive from Mahindra and Ford’s in-development midsize SUVs – codenamed S204 and B745, correspondingly.

As of now Mahindra is available in 6 colours: Mariner Maroon, Iceberg White, Aqua Marine, Poseidon Purple, Oceanic Black and Shimmering Silver.
